Who We Treat

We treat essentially any type of patient, you're never too old, nor too young to be adjusted. Most sports injuries can be rehabilitated very successfully under conservative management. Many  conditions that require drugs to mask symptoms can also be treated very successfully under chiropractic care.  If however, Dr. Paton feels that the patient may be better served by another form of healthcare, he will refer that patient down the proper medical or physical therapy or massage therapy channel.

Who we treat:

Patients of any age. Our youngest patient was a few hours old and our oldest patient was 89. A patient being a few hours old may be a surprise to some, however the birth process can be very traumatic and corrections must be made as quickly as possible. The correction, or adjustment is so light that it is accomplished with the doctor's fingertips. There is no twisting or turning ever done on a newborn's spine. So many of my patients knew that I have treated so many babies, that they've referred their friends' and families' with babies. I've helped many babies who were diagnosed with various conditions, namely colic. Like all the rest of us, a baby's spine can hurt too, and their only way to let us know that something is wrong is to scream uncontrollably. Often times it's the mom who brings the baby in, and often times they're apprehensive and reluctant because they didn't know how safe chiropractic was. However, by the second or third visit, the dad then comes in to say things like "thanks - this is the first time in a while that I've had a good night sleep, please keep doing whatever you're doing". The best part about babies is that the correction is usually made within one or two adjustments - that's it!
